Access & Knowledge Arts offers every client the chance to positively express their personal experience through creativity. We work with all ages—from teens to seniors—in settings ranging from senior centers, healthcare and secure facilities, to private homes. AKA offers safe spaces for learning, experimentation and appreciation for all artistic expression, and promotes creative freedom, joy, and positive self-esteem for all clients.
- Group programs feature songwriting, storytellling, instrument lessons and music theory, beginning filmmaking and video editing, electronic music production, arts and crafts, adapted physical exercises, games, discussion, and one-to-one visits for all including, but not limited to those living with schizophrenia, developmental and/or physical disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, and dementia.
- Individual music and songwriting workshops focus on musical knowledge and techniques (instrumental, composition, performance, and audio) through hands-on sessions fostering creativity in a supportive environment.
