Alex Sniderman has worked in the arts in a variety of capacities for over two decades as a composer, performer, producer, music consultant and facilitator, and recreation leader. Sniderman works with clients of all ages in healthcare and secure facilities as well as private homes. Recently he has led a songwriting workshop for seniors at Diana Jones Senior Center and created a short film about the experience through a grant from the Brooklyn Arts Council's SU-CASA Program. He has also taught songwriting workshops for adults at Riker’s Island and songwriting and audio recording teens at Horizon and Crossroads Juvenile Detention Center in The Bronx and Brooklyn through grants from the New York City Department of Correction. He offers music lessons to students of all ages and musical backgrounds in composition, instrumental technique, and electronic music production, as well as private sessions with clients including those living with conditions including schizophrenia, developmental and/or physical disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, and dementia.
Sniderman holds an MPA from Baruch College in Nonprofit Management, and an MFA in Sonic Arts from Brooklyn College.
